Engine Strokes Animation
This engine animation puts you directly in front of the action, so you may better see the three chambers, as well as how the intake ports open and close with the movement of the rotor. This is an easy animation which is diagramed for you. The blue triangle is the rotor, the grey gear, is the gear in the rotor, the red gear is a stationary gear. The spining middle piece, with the white area represents the eccentric shaft. This is an easy way to see the strokes of the engine, intake, compression, ignition, and exhaust. It has been clearly marked in english, and remember that there are two rotors in motion during the operation of a normal two rotor engine.
This animation has been changed to represent the accurate ignition firing. To learn more about the ignition please visit the ignition section.
