Front Cover Evolution
This article shows the evolution of the rotary engine’s front cover. The oldest engines had twin distributors, you can easily tell that by the long tubes sticking out of the tops.
The FD and the RENESIS engines do not have distributors. The images have been noted so it’s easy to examine which year the front covers are. This is a good resource if you want to rebuild an engine and not sure which cover to use, or can use. For example, the FC NA front cover, can be used for a turbo too if the conversion is made. Thanks to Pineapple Racing for providing the images.
