Intake / Exhaust Port Evolution
This article shows the evolution of the intake and exhaust ports located on the rotor housings, and side housings.
Although they all look similar there is actually a large difference between models. Despite the pictures aren’t extremely detailed, the actual port size is different for all of them, and the inside tracks are different too which you can not see.
The greatest difference between the intake and exhaust ports would have to be the evolution from the standard 13B-REW to the RENESIS engine. This moved the exhaust ports completely, and we’ll be sure to see some interesting changes in the future. This list is not complete, there are many models missing, but this gives you a feel for how they have evolved.
If you have any of the pictures, we’d love to see them and share them with the world.
