the engine I just put in my 1987rx7 siezed up while being worked on,

does anyone know which way would be quickest/easyest????
mazda,1987 5spd.tranny into 1989 mazda auto.tran.
or put the 1989 engine into my 1987 rx7.???

So, If I follow you, you have an 87 RX-7 with 5 speed tranny and a bad engine and an 89 RX-7 automatic with a good engine? Presuming the condition is equal, converting the 89 to a 5-speed is a much more desirable solution. Other than the auto seat belts, the cars are better in almost every respect. Better engine, better ECU, better wiring, better looking. I also think it would be an easier swap.

Very Happy thanks again & I agree the 89 is better looking & has round tail lights,
Cool , so that is what Ill do put my 5spd. into my 89rx7,
greatly appreiciated
