I'm not the authority on this, but I think Series 4 (86-88 ) and Series 5 (89-91) transmissions have different tranny mount locations, so you might have to get creative. As for bolting on the engine, there won't be a problem...everything is the same. You will also have an issue regarding the flywheel, as an automatic tranny car would use a separate counterweight and a flexplate to engage the starter. This means you will need to either use an aftermarket lightweight flywheel or remove the counterweight and replace it with a stock flywheel with the right counteweighting for the engine. I can't help you with the wiring questions, since I have never swapped an auto for a manual tranny, but I can't imagine it being very difficult. A Factory Shop Manual would be very valuable for figuring out what is necessary and what is not.
