Hello!very new to rotary engines and your websites with the videos is the best thing i have ever seen!i wish more people would post up stuff like this . it really helps me out a lot. i recently bought a 1979 rx-7 only knowing that the engine was taken out of the vehicle and torn apart. the guy said he took it apart because it was smoking Really bad and wouldn't stop. so he planed to rebuild it and bought a bunch of stuff for it then decided he wanted a different vehicle. pretty much the car is all here and in Great shape for what i paid for it.ill have a lot of questions in the future on how to put the complete engine back together im sure but for now does this look reusable? its the rotary housing

It apears to have very litle flaking which is good but it also apears to have chatter. I have heard of using some light steel wool or emery cloth to smooth out the housing. also new apex seal springs are probably needed.
as for the smoking the oil control o-rings were bad. if they are not already out of the rotors you should notice they are falling apart in the grooves. If the previous owner dident already buy a rebuild kit you can order a felpro kit one from any parts house, or go to mazdatrix.com. these kits will include all the gaskets, seals and crush washers.
