Rotary Engine Teardown Pictures

This type of damage occurs when engine turners, tweak their settings too much, boost too much or just simply to push their engines to hard!  This damage will destroy the rotor housing, and is completely useless in its current stage.  The only way to fix it would to get it resurfaced, please contact Pineapple Racing for details.

This damage is typically from a broken apex seal and which bounces around in the working chamber until it is shot out through the exhaust.  This is called a ping, and not only does it damage the rotor housing, it damages the rotor, and the side plates that contain the working chambers.  Don't over boost your engines or this will happen to you too.  Although to prevent it, single piece carbon apex seals will help if you want to run high boost. Carbon apex seals will also likely not break and damage your parts like the below engines.
